Disney releases Soundtrack for “The Lion King,” with Beyoncé, Childish Gambino, Elton John, Chiwetel Ejiofor

On July 19th, “The Lion King” will be out in theatres, and Disney has announced details of the film’s soundtrack.

The soundtrack will be out digitally on July 11 and physically July 19 .

It features Beyoncé and Childish Gambino’s rendition of “Can You Feel the Love Tonight,” a brand new song from Elton John, who worked on the original animated film soundtrack, and selections from Hans Zimmer’s score, among others.

Chiwetel Ejiofor will also sing “Be Prepared (2019 version)”.

#EndSars : ‘Nigeria is becoming a nightmare’ – Singer Runtown says

Nigerian Singer, Runtown has taken to his twitter page to react to the prevalent killings and kidnappings that have been recorded across the country in the last few weeks.

Pondering on the number of protests to engage in before the issue of SARS officers killing innocent citizens is addressed, the singer lashed out at Nigerian authorities over report of a cleaner allegedly killed by a SARS officer.

He tweeted;

How many more tweets do we have to put out? How many more hashtags do we have to push? How many more protests? How many more lives do we have to lose before something is done about SARS? This is not the Nigeria of our dreams. Our country is turning into a nightmare.

What exactly is going on? How is it that after the several outcries and well documented incidences we are yet to curb this menace? The people are being pushed the wall. People cannot continue to lose their loved ones like this. This has to stop! This just has to STOP! #EndSARS

Impact One was recently launched in Lagos Nigeria with award winning top rated artistes such as Buchi, Joe Praize, Samsong, TB1, Ayo Vincent, Giljoe and Bishop Chikanzy. Other celebrities on board the campaign include, Blossom Chukwu, Eben, Jahdiel, Testimony, Frank Edwards, and a host of others.

The Impact One Campaign is a special purpose platform created by the VIP Media Influencers Network with a two-pronged direction. The first is to provide elevation through God’s word as contained in the most translated and number one devotional in the world, Rhapsody of Realities.

The second simultaneous goal is to use the impact to support selected sustainable development goals (SDGs). These SDGs will be carried out in partnership with Inner-city Missions, ReachOut Foundation and the United Nations carefully chosen accredited NGOs, to help identified persons and communities all around the world, enjoy a better life. The celebrities at the event expressed their passion for the campaign and explained that the reason for taking on the Impact One project bordered on the tremendous effect Rhapsody of Realities has had in their personal lives which has impressively influenced their careers through the years. In addition, they made a loud call to all their fans to support the campaign by sponsoring at least one copy of Rhapsody of Realities which will concurrently translate to helping the indigent and needy. The least anyone can do is sponsor one copy.

Nollywood heartthrob actor Blossom Chukwu had this to say "With just one person sponsoring only one copy, so much can happen and when millions follow suit, we will make incredible changes in our society" I really believe in the power of God through Jesus Christ.

The message from the celebrities is simple…We can all do so little, yet make great impact through the Impact One Campaign. This is the Power of One.

WowKiddiesNG 1.0 the audition

Summer started with all shades of colors as Grindiin Records hosted the first season Audition for “Wow Kiddies Talent Search, a talent show for children aged 7-15 years. The July 13, 2019 audition witnessed a huge turnout of children brimming with raw talent, and was also attended by an array of celebrities, a cross-section of the press, media representatives and hosted by Firehits Studio and is an initiative of G2M Creatives.

Some of the stars who appeared at the Auditions for season 1.0 were singer/song-writer DJINEE (Of Ego Fame), the “Ganta Music” proponent TITO DA.FIRE who doubled as host, On-Air Personality AMINA–SARAFINA, Co-Judge ORE WILLIAMS, an On-Air Personality and Singer/Artist MINJIN as Judges.

The second phase of auditions for “Wow Kiddies Talent Show” would be by online entries on social media wherein kids would post a video of themselves showcasing their talents and tagging @wowkiddiesng handle via Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

Selected “Wow Kiddies Talent Show” online winners would join winners from Audition 1.0 who would be trained by professionals in the various talents exhibited in preparation for the finals taking place in August 2019.

Winners would walk away with a total of N600,000 and also a Management Deal with Grindiin Records.
