Real Madrid speak on sacking Lopetegui before El Clasico clash with Barcelona

Real Madrid director, Emilio Butragueno, has insisted manager Julen Lopetegui, will remain in charge for Sunday’s El Clasico clash with Barcelona.

Champions League holders Madrid ended a five-match winless run in all competitions, with a 2-1 victory over Viktoria Plzen on Tuesday.

Reports before the game suggested Lopetegui would be sacked regardless of the result, yet Butragueno claims the club are planning to continue as normal ahead of the trip to Camp Nou.

“Lopetegui will sit on the bench at Camp Nou as normal,” he told Movistar.

“In these kind of situations, it is important to remain calm and trust the players. Sunday’s game is a great motivation for us.”

Pushed on the rumours Lopetegui would be sacked before El Clasico, Butragueno added: “It is normal. This is football. We have heard the rumours, but we have confidence and hopefully we will play well at Camp Nou.”

Jose Mourinho Describes Cristiano Ronaldo In Two Words

Published

on

Jose Mourinho has described Cristiano Ronaldo with two words in reaction to his compatriot’s hat-trick for Juventus against Atletico Madrid in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League round of sixteen tie.

The goals from Ronaldo ensured Juventus booked a place in the round of eight by erasing the 2-0 loss they suffered at Madrid. Juventus will now face Ajax in the round of eight.

“LET ME TELL YOU THAT I’M NOT UNHAPPY AT ALL BECAUSE, IN THE END, I’M THE ONLY ONE WHO WON IN TURIN FOR THE WHOLE SEASON,” MOURINHO TOLD RT.

“WHEN YOU HAVE IN THE BOX OR AROUND THE BOX THAT SPECIAL KILLER LIKE RONALDO, ANYTHING COULD HAPPEN.

“IN ITALY THEY USE THIS WORD TRASCINATORE, IT’S THE GUY THAT BRINGS EVERYTHING WITH HIM MORE THAN THE LEADER, THE GUY WHO BRINGS EVERYBODY WITH HIM”, MOURINHO CONCLUDED.

Naomi Osaka Sued By Former Tennis Coach, Demands 20% For Life

Published

on

The tennis coach who began working with Naomi Osaka back when she was 13 claims her father signed a contract promising him 20% of her career earnings … and now he’s coming to collect.

The man behind the lawsuit is Christophe Jean — who says Naomi’s father, Leonard Francois, hired him to work with Naomi and his other daughter, Mari, back in 2011.

Jean says Francois couldn’t pay his rates at the time, so they struck a deal in which Jean agreed to accept 20% of Naomi and Mari’s tennis prize money and endorsement deals forever.

That’s not a typo … Jean says he has a copy of the contract where Francois agrees that the term of the deal is “indefinite.” It’s included in Jean’s suit, filed in state court in Florida.

Of course, Naomi — now 21 years old — has blossomed into a tennis superstar, currently ranked #1 in the world … and famously beat Serena Williams at the 2018 US Open.

ccording to the official WTA website, she’s made more than $10.8 MILLION during her career — and that’s not including endorsement money.

So, Jean wants his cut — at least $2 million — which is why he’s suing Naomi, Mari and Leonard.

The other possible issue … can a parent promise a cut of a minor child’s future adult earnings? And, can a judge enforce such a contract?

It’s not exactly cut and dry. We’re looking into it.
